Summertime - Summertime

Even being a working mum I am so glad that I will be home with Flower Baby (and my future children) every summer. I know that so much of our children's development takes place over the summer physically, mentally, and spiritually. She sleeps a good part of the day when I am gone at work - SO - it makes me feel a little bit better.

I look so forward to spending this summer with her. I am already thinking of ways to cram in exciting (yet free) adventures outside of our home, songs that I can sing to her about how Jesus loves her, and ways that I can cram in every teachable moment. I'm not even sure what kinds of things to teach an 8 month old. Currently I am trying to instill a love of reading to her. We read lots of books - Good Night Moon and any Karen Katz book are our favorites right now.

I can't wait to get to feed her breakfast, eat lunch, and TAKE NAPS!
