It is amazing to me that every day as a mom I learn more about how God sees and loves us. The love for a child is TRULY the most unconditional love that one human being can have for another. No matter what happens parents TRULY love and are ready to forgive their children. We play a part in the formation of their very existence - God forms them - but they are a part of us - and have been carried by us for months before they are even born.
When I look at my daughter I am awestruck by the love and power of our Lord Jesus Christ in more than one way. She is the most incredible miracle that I have ever tangibly seen with my own eyes. As any child is to their parents I am sure. I am so blessed.
And I wonder - is this how God sees me? Is he overcome with love every time he looks at me? Even through the disappointments and shortcomings that I present every day? He must be. If the love I have for my daughter is so intense. How much more intense must a PERFECT love from a PERFECT father be?
PRAISE GOD - he sees me as FORGIVEN! PRAISE GOD that I have been cleansed by the blood of my savior! PRAISE GOD that when he looks at me he can see me as a cleansed child of his!
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved (Ephesians 2:4-5)
