"BALL"

That flower baby of mine has just become entranced by all of these orange pumpkins - tho - to her they are BALLS! She loves them! She was runninga fever the other day (just from teething)so the nursery was out - and - seriously how long can a toddler sit in church? So we walked over to the pumpkin patch and had a little bit of fun...

Blow-Out!!!

SOOOO as we were driving across the bridge Saturday afternoon, at about the top of the span, all of a sudden it felt like we ran over a horse --- "WHAT WAS THAT?" yelled my husband as he scrambles to get control of our SUV that is swerving between traffic and the SIDE OF THE BRIDGE.Thank God he regained control and my car hobbles over to the emergency lane. When we looked at the tire LITERALLY all that was left was the inner-wall there was no rubber/tread or whatever left on the outside. I was terrified - but so glad that if that happened it happened when hubby was driving and NOT me!

Anyway - after we put a new tire on the car we had a fun round of miniature golf. Flower Baby loved swatting at the balls and dropping them in the holes. Each of her tries were a hole in one. And we didn't tell her that she was cheating. Husband of course won the came by 2 points.

525,600 minutes

525,600 moments so dear! How many things have happened in a year! I have gone from new mommy - to pro (kidding) taught kindergarten, first grade, two schools...

Made new friends :) -lost touch with others - began having a bedtime (for myself)

reminisced

--sang a LOT of songs (mostly in the shower) or off key with my ipod attached to my head...

(I can't wait for Christmas)

A Day for Pictures

Birthday Girl

So this week my Flower Baby will turn 365 days old! I can't believe time has flown so quickly. I am amazed how much they grow in a year. We had her party this past weekend at our house. We filled our house with balloons, bubbles, and dear friends and family that we are so thankful for. Our little one could not have sweeter people who care for her in her life :) we are so blessed.

The party was fun - tho it was very hot oustide. Mommy didn't cry - and daddy had lots of cupcakes. Flower Baby's favorite part was the balloons I think. I have included a picture of her with her cake. (The frosting looked really pretty at first - but it was so hot that even INSIDE the cool whip started melting before we got it to her -:)- )

Sick Days

Flower Baby has a little bit of a cold and was running a fever this morning so I stayed home with her and she had a sick day - chocolate ice cream and all. I know I know NO DAIRY with a fever! Don't worry it was long gone by lunch time. She also decided that she is a FULL TIME walker today so we took some cheesy pictures and a got some footage of her baby steps.

Our Final Act of Summer 2008

School is back in session, white shoes are out until Easter, and Halloween costumes hang in every department store in the mall. I am supposing that means summer is coming to an end and fall is IN SESSION. So to conclude a wonderful summer (my very first summer with a child)we enjoyed the day at the beach. It really was a nice day spent with friends and my incredible family. I am so thankful for a husband that loves us so much and such a beautiful daughter. I am so thankful that God keeps promises, answers prayers, and provides for us the way he does.

My little Flower Baby - or - as a friend volunteered a nick name - "Flora" is now walking. I have no posted video yet but did get a shot of her digging her feet into the sand at the beach.

And I have a task for anyone reading out there. Please make a comment on this post. Sort of a praise for something God has given, shown, or blessed you with this summer.

Mine would be time at home with my daughter and husband - as simple as it is- it has been a priceless summer --- even those rainy days stuck inside would not be traded for anything. I am so thankful for everything the Lord has given us.
